Lighting for designer interiors

Lighting for designer interiors

Designer interiors is a broad term covering homes, apartments and houses, private offices and exhibition galleries. They differ from ordinary interiors in a consistent style and the use of premium finishes and light sources. A good interior needs good floors, quality windows and the right lighting scheme. Our company will help you choose the lighting for your designer interior.

Lighting apartments and houses

Lighting an apartment or a house has to take into account that people will live in the space, so they have to feel comfortable. Even the most extravagant and interesting lighting scenes should not irritate the residents.

Lighting in a residential interior has to solve practical tasks:

  • in the kitchen the work surfaces should be lit so that cooking is a pleasure;
  • the living room can do without bright ceiling chandeliers and use subdued lighting scenes with side light sources instead;
  • in the bedroom soft warm light from medium- and low-power sources works best;
  • toilets and bathrooms should be flooded with neutral white light for convenience, and the luminaires themselves must be protected against moisture;
  • decor, ornaments, paintings and vases look good in the accent light of spotlights.

For a lighting design and interior design of an apartment, turn to professionals. Lighting designers or interior designers can develop lighting scenes that give the living space its own style and make everyday chores easier.

For kitchens and bathrooms we recommend luminaires with dust and moisture protection. The colour temperature should be neutral, and the light sources should use LED chips with a colour rendering of at least 80 Ra.

Living rooms and bedrooms can use low-power spots, downlights or surface-mounted luminaires. The recommended power of one light point is up to 12 W.

Decorative elements in the interior should be lit with track spotlights with narrow beams.

Light sources with LED chips set deep in the housing are preferred, as this reduces glare. Flicker of home lighting fixtures should not exceed 5%.
