STEM Concept Store is a chain of premium branded clothing shops for women and men, carrying Tommy Hilfiger, Pepe Jeans, DIESEL, Lacoste, GSTAR, Polo Ralph Lauren and others. The format is closer to a boutique than to an ordinary mall clothing shop.

Stem shoppers look at the quality and style of clothing first and at the price second. The brands and the audience shape the choice of fixtures, the interior and the lighting layout.

Stem shop lit with accent light only, without general lighting

Mid-price clothing shops usually combine accent and general light. This makes the floor feel lively and convenient for family shopping. It does not suit the premium segment.

A premium shop needs a dramatic atmosphere that underlines the status and quality of the goods. One way is to rely on accent light alone and drop general lighting of the sales floor. Stem chose exactly this option for its shop, using track spotlights.

The SHELF TRL95 spotlight is often used in shops of this format, mainly for its higher colour rendering: CRI of at least 82 Ra from a COB CREE light source. It comes in 30 W and 40 W versions, gives more than 100 lm/W and has a 3-year warranty.
