Blanche furniture showroom in Warsaw

The lighting for one of the Blanche showrooms in Poland was designed by RB-architects. It is built on Vision Lighting retail luminaires: BAND track spotlights, TUBE ROUND surface-mounted luminaires and WIRE pendants.

In a furniture shop, light reveals the texture of fabrics and materials and changes how shoppers see colour. Light that is too dim or dazzling does harm here: the strengths of the furniture simply go unnoticed.

The core of the scheme is BAND track spotlights. Directional light guides visitors through the showroom: people sense where to stop and what to look at.

In a showroom where the display gets rearranged, this is practical: a spotlight only needs to be re-aimed or moved along the busbar. WIRE pendants hang over the sales consultant’s desk.

Accent light on upholstered furniture in the Blanche showroom

An accent beam draws attention best: people subconsciously head for brightly lit products. Light from the right angle and sources with high colour rendering show the texture of upholstery and the details of the furniture.

Warm 3000K light suits upholstered furniture best: it feels homely and makes the buying decision easier.
