Betty Barclay: clothing shop lighting

Vision Lighting prepared the lighting design and installed the lighting in a Betty Barclay shop. It is a well-known German brand of women’s clothing, footwear, accessories and fragrances.

The client chose to light the whole shop with track spotlights only. The result is a dramatic atmosphere that shows the range at its best, and with so many light sources the shop looks bright and stands out from its neighbours.

BAND track spotlights as the main light at Betty Barclay

The shop is lit with BAND LED track spotlights. They sit on busbar, and the track can be laid out in any shape, with spotlights moved along the whole length of the system.

Busbar can be single-circuit or TRACK-3F with three independent lines. The choice depends on the load on the supply and the power needed.

Track lighting at Betty Barclay when fixtures are rearranged

Track spotlights are a practical choice for a clothing shop. When fixtures are moved, the spotlights only need to be re-aimed or slid along the track. Recessed downlights are functionally less effective for spaces like this.

LED track spotlights are easy to remove or add, so the amount of light on the floor is simple to increase or reduce.
