Installing RCDs and circuit breakers
Electricity is dangerous for people. That is why circuit breakers and RCDs are installed whenever electrical networks are set up. Vision Lighting Ukraine specialists pay particular attention to this task. They carry out all the necessary work and, at the final stage, check that the RCDs and breakers work. This ensures that no situations dangerous to people's lives arise later.
Installing an RCD
A residual current device is a mechanical switching device with an important function: it disconnects the load in special cases, namely when the residual current rises to a certain level. Once these devices are installed, people can no longer get an electric shock by touching the housing of equipment that has become live.
Installing an RCD is a job for professionals. Our specialists have expertise in wiring installation. An ordinary person would find it hard to understand all the subtleties and learn the connection diagrams of switching devices. So if you need residual current devices installed in shops, beauty salons or malls, we recommend contacting us. We handle both routine tasks and complex projects. Where necessary, RCDs are replaced and new switching devices are installed. At the final stage Vision Lighting Ukraine gives a warranty.
Connecting a circuit breaker
Correctly installed circuit breakers are a reliable protection against short circuits and fire. Supermarkets, nightclubs and office centres contain a wide range of electrical equipment, and using it carries a risk of dangerous situations. To minimise it, circuit breakers are installed, with the specialists relying on their experience and knowledge.
Connecting a breaker on a commercial or infrastructure site is a complex task carried out in several stages. First the load on the site is assessed and the right type of device is chosen. A distribution board for the breakers is also used. When circuit breakers are installed, a busbar is used: a convenient and safe way to connect groups of breakers. The comb busbar consists of a copper plate that does not support combustion and connects the breakers in the board. A plate of a particular type is used, which can be single-, two-, three- or four-pole.
RCD connection diagram
To keep risks to a minimum, our specialists set up electrical networks correctly. At the initial stage the RCD connection diagram is developed and thought through. Then the protective devices are installed. An important step is checking that the RCD works. This can be done in several ways, for example with a test lamp or a special tester. You can also press the "T" button on the front of the device: this simulates a current leak and the protection trips instantly.
Our specialists provide turnkey services. They replace breakers and RCDs and carry out installation work. Our team knows how to install circuit breakers and switching devices, which guarantees safe conditions on site.
